Bear in mind, too, that to pilot ships higher than class A, you’ll need to invest points in the Piloting skill (which requires destroying enemy ships, which itself requires a better ship). It’s nigh impossible to get the single best ship in Starfield early on, thanks to prohibitively expensive sticker prices. It’s everything from your storage locker to your crew’s quarters to the thing that protects you from space pirates. It’s not just your means of fast travel through the Milky Way.
